What happened to unconditional positive in the therapeutic context?
Most therapists I've worked so far are not very nice … that isolate people and forget the unconditional positive regard, not to mention all Smack talk from around the world. It is really fustrating, call me idealistic, but thats just not cool! I do not understand. Even with everything I know about people, my experiences, etc. …. I do not understand.
It depends on how are formed. I was trained in client-centered therapy, which was developed by Carl Rogers, who began using unconditional positive regard. Your first session with a therapist is not only the opportunity to feel that you should do the same. Ask what school of thought, they were trained? What you think your customers? It's okay to do some shopping. I agree with you, but there therapists for Jaded. It's really easy to burn area.
