What could be the cause of dry skin, flaky crust on the side of my kitten?
We just adopted two kittens last week is 8 weeks. They have been dewormed, had their first set of plans (the second to follow in the first week of July) were treated for upper respiratory tract infection, supplemented with lysine and pulp are also in very good health, active hairballs. Last night, I saw a dry, brittle, scaly patches (bald) in the elbow area before the man of Orange; kind of outside what would be his "armpit". It seems a tough, almost ruthless. He shows no signs of irritation / / De baldness dry skin elsewhere. We intend to take the two to the vet soon, but wondered if anyone else has had similar experiences. I know that ringworm is usually on the face / / area of the head of the ear, and is not usually pastry / crunchy to advanced. Scabies is another possibility, but again – it's very isolated. Is it safe for us to try an antifungal cream Policy (Monistat, Lamisil) to see how mass patch? FYI – this is for indoor cats. Thank you!
I had to take them to the vet a few days earlier than planned you know. It could be something as simple as recording the rug to play on the carpet. My cat was just what I think his elbow, and I was just playing with another cat on the carpet. If the cream of mushrooms had a thing for cats.
